Reason 01: Digital images

What makes our senior packages unique is that you will receive your BEST edited, high-resolution digital files with your package. A lot of photographers do not include digital images, and if you want them, you have to purchase an expensive print/product package. With us, each package includes a set amount of images with the option to purchase more. If you purchase the Senior Experience package, not only are digital images included, but you will also receive a custom keepsake USB drive.

Reason 02: No hidden fees

There are no hidden fees and no required purchase amounts. The amount you see is the amount you pay minus any prints or products you may purchase a la carte.* Some photographers offer a minimally priced "session fee", but they will require you to purchase product packages, which are normally more expensive than the session fee. Sometimes this can be presented as "print credits." Again, with us, what you see is what you pay! 

*Other costs may accrue depending on extra services requested by the client.



reason 03: A La carte products

We do offer products for purchase a la carte, but you are not required to make a purchase. When you receive the link to your gallery, it has a beautifully curated "shop." There you will be able to customize and purchase available products. If you need help customizing or choosing which products are best for you, I can help guide you to the right options.

I know you're reading this thinking, "And? What does being a teacher have to do with taking my pictures". To be honest, absolutely nothing! But, having taught high schoolers for over 13 years has helped me understand and empathize with teens. I am more in tune with their likes, dislikes, perceptions, views, their intricacies, etc. This has helped me serve my senior clients better. Yes, the actual images are important, but the experience is equally important, and that's why having a high school teacher as your photographer is an advantage!

Your session is completely personalized to reflect your unique vision, style, and personality. You will have complete input in planning your session. This is NOT a dictatorship, but a collaboration. You will receive a questionnaire that will give me all the tea about you and your vision for your shoot. We will also meet virtually to get to know each other a little bit more and to finally put all the pieces together for your session. You will have total access to me after our meeting in case you have questions or want to share more ideas with me. We work closely together to make your session magical.

This package is perfect for seniors who don’t want to spend long hours taking pictures but still want to celebrate the occasion with fewer perks.

  • 1 outfit (cap & gown worn over the main outfit)

How it Works

Whether you found me through social media or through a referral, I need to know you're out there looking for me. You'll need to fill out the inquiry form so I know you're interested in booking a senior session with me. 

Once I get your details in my inbox, we'll coordinate your prospective date (s) with my availability. Once we are in agreement, I'll send over the contract and invoice for the non-fundable retainer. Once the contract and 50% non-refundable retainer have been received, I will officially pencil you in for your date. 

I’ll email you a questionnaire and style & prep guide so I can get to know you a little bit better and for you to share your vision for your shoot. 

The email will have a link to schedule your virtual planning consultation so we can start planning your customized session and discuss outfits, locations, etc. The prep guide will give you the tea on how to prepare for your session so you will be ready in every aspect. I'll address any lingering questions and/or concerns at during our virtual consultation meeting. My hope is for you to leave the meeting totally confident and excited.

It’s SHOWTIME! We’ll meet at your location and start capturing memories. Don’t worry if you feel nervous. I’ll make sure you feel confident every step of the way. 

We’ll spend a specified amount of time getting the perfect shots, with plenty of different poses and backdrops so you end up with a gallery full of variety. Your shoot time will be based on the package you select. Come ready to have a great time.

Approximately 24-48 hours after your session, you'll get a little preview of your gallery via sneak peeks! I’ll share a selection of your photos on my blog, Facebook, Tik Tok, and Instagram so you, your family, your friends, and the world can see how awesome you are!

It’s time for the unveiling of your images. Roughly 2 to 3 weeks after your photo session, I will send you a link to your online gallery where you will get a first-hand look at all of your edited images. Cue the DRUMROLL... 

Once you view your gallery, you will have access to the digital files where you will be able to download, favorite, and share your favorite images on social media right away.

I know we're in a digital world, but your images deserve more love than just sitting on your smartphone or on your computer. This is why I think printing your images for display is so important! This season of life is a special one and it deserves to be remembered. Keep reading below for the products options that will be available through your online gallery.

Which Products are you most excited about Purchasing? 

LaToya Jyadon Photography offers an array of products for you to display your images. We offer various photographic print options to more luxurious products such as albums, canvases, metal prints, a variety of wall art options, and newly added graduation announcements. All of your needs are right in one place. There's no need to go to multiple places for products—we have you covered! You will be able to order these products right from your gallery. 04. Product Delivery

WHen ARE YOU AVAILABLE FOR SHOOTS?

Sessions take place on Saturday and Sunday evenings approximately two hours before the sun sets (Golden Hour). Also, temperatures are usually favorable around this time. Times will vary depending on the season.

HOW EARLY SHOULD I BOOK MY SESSION?

I recommend booking your session at least FOUR months in advance to avoid the “SENIOR RUSH”, especially during the busy seasons. 

When will i RECEIVE THE IMAGES FROM MY SESSION? 

You can expect to receive your gallery approximately 2 to 3 weeks after your session.


how much should i expect to spend?

Packages range from $250 to $575. Prints and products are an additional cost. Most families typically invest about $600-$1200 on their senior portrait experience including products.

WHAT IF I WANT A STYLED INDOOR/STUDIO SHOOT?

We can absolutely make this happen for you! We will work together to find a suitable indoor location/studio that suits your vision. But, because I am an on-location outdoor photographer, the rental fee and any other applicable fees for the space will be an additional out-of-pocket expense for the client.

I recommend PeerSpace as a good starting point to get some ideas.

what if i am experiencing financial hardship?

Because I never want financial reasons to be what holds anyone back from being able to be a part of the full LJP experience, I do offer a variety of payment options to accommodate a variety of budgets. If you are interested in a payment plan, please let me know and I will be happy to discuss it with you.

WHAT CITIES DO YOU SERVICE?

I service the following cities: Ypsilanti, Ann Arbor, Belleville, Canton, Westland, Garden City, Plymouth/Livonia, Romulus, Novi, Farmington, Dearborn/Dearborn Heights, Bloomfield Hills, Detroit, Northville, Taylor, Southfield, and Oak Park. If your city is not listed, still inquire and we can discuss it.

What should I wear and where will we take pictures?

We’ll collaborate to select the best outfits to reflect your style and personality. You’ll also receive a Style & Prep guide that will give you all the tea on how to look your best. Unlike some photographers, I do not go to the same location (s) for every senior session. We will collaborate to find the perfect location (s) that complement your outfits, personality, and style. I want your photos to look unique and stand out from the competition.
